Together We Give – Collaboration with Awlady Orphanage and Egyptian Food Bank

In an effort to continue our focus on all children having the right to proper nutrition and safe play, Reading on the Pitch has begun a collaboration with the Egyptian Food Bank (EFB). EFB is a nonprofit organization specialized in fighting hunger through innovative and diversified programs, and recognizes that “Food is a Basic Life Need.” 

Our children from Awlady Orphanage took a trip to volunteer their time with the EFB packing boxes of food to be distributed to communities within Egypt, as well as to our neighboring community in Gaza.  

Reading on the Pitch, Awlady Orphanage, and the Egyptian Food Bank collectively understand the importance of nutrition and giving, and through this collaboration, we were able to guide our students in ways they can actively support others in need.  #readingonthepitch #awladyorphanage #egyptianfoodbank #play #futbol #soccer #nutrition #cairo #egypt
