It has been four weeks, what have we learned?

Play play play everyday! Football truly is the language of the world:)

Reading on the Pitch continues combining literacy and football, and has taught 20 of the 26 letters of the English alphabet in 4 weeks. That’s a letter a day, in the five day school week of course! We have covered the digraphs sh, ch, th, ss, and ll. The children have learned action words such as run, sit, stand, stop, hop, and skip. They know the locations of top, middle/center, bottom, inside, outside, in, and out. We have begun identifying the various body parts; head, leg, arm, hand, feet, knees, and toes. They can recognize a square and triangle. They know their numbers from 1-10…and how did they learn it, through the language of football:)
